Decay

Decay was my second word and for this i explored a few avenues

• Decay on the streets....chipped paintwork,cracks, vandalism, discoloration
• Decay of the natural environment 
• Decay of  a country because of war
• Decay of the human due to age

This is a sheet from my sketch book just showing a house near the college which has become very run down.....with cracked walls.....rusty paintwork on the side wall and windows covered in with bricks 

This is a piece of ceramics done by an artist called Jason Walker who dipicts the decay and destruction of nature because of humans

Artist Peter Kennara and Cat Piction Phillips show the decay and devastation inflicted on a country during a war through there prints.....

Another idea which i found quite interesting about peoples memories is their fear of clowns.............

Another artist that i looked at will researching Tim Burton was Patrik Bundeli who i thought had very interesting ideas with a playful twist....and a similar style to Tim

Memories

The first thing that i thought of when i heard memories was childhood...that was my starting point and i went from there....

Childhood: 

• Innocence...laces, pleats bows 
• movies, fairytales 
• Parties,clowns

Alice at the mad hatters tea party

Two of my favorite movies from childhood were Edward scissor hands and Alice in Wonderland, both movies that Tim Burton has been involved in therefore I started researching him and began very interested in his illustrations.........

Fashion Research Week

This week for fashion we had a research week to prepare for next weeks ranking project...For our research week we were given five words to explore and research......memories, decay, enclosure, tribal and electric.
